Grant Goals & Objectives

Objective 1: Offer culturally sustaining place-based courses in language, history, and culture

Objective 2: Offer a menu of elective course offerings that may be offered online

Objective 3: Provide pathways to early careers for Alaska Native youth in our high schools through dual enrollment and certifications

Objective 4: Support for more culturally responsive curriculum options for K-12 Alaska Native youth in our community

Objective 5: Offer supplemental trauma-informed direct services in art therapy, traditional and contemporary dance, and music and language as healing

Objective 6: Provide modern tools and materials for equitable access to education services

Objective 7: Provide education support academic coaches for tutoring support and to help parents and students navigate our education services

Objective 8: Cultural programming and summer academies as immersive learning experiences are provided

Objective 9: Services for rising students, assisting in test preparation and application fees for every Alaska Native and Native American enrolled high school student

Objective 10: Alaska Native counseling services to supplement public school services for individual student support

Objective 11: Be a hub for family and community-wide engagement and service-learning and youth educational symposium facilitated by all service providers
